I experienced a wonderful afternoon of storytelling at The Writer’s Centre in Rozelle. A fun atmosphere at the ‘Story Cafe’.
Ten amazing women spun their tales. I was captivated. Some of the stories were real life events, one was an historic event, another an ancient Bulgarian tale that was recently discovered. A few storytellers entertained us with their original tales and we were also entertained with beautiful harp music. What a delight! Afternoon tea was yummy, with lots of delicious treats.
I came away feeling very nurtured and also inspired to get back into my performance poetry.
There is a Storytelling Conference coming up June 1-3. ‘Weaving Stories Together’.
