Focus

Where your attention goes, your energy flows. My mind can jump from one thought to the next constantly, so it is always great when I remind myself to stay focused. In this fast information age it is easier said than done. I find one of the best ways to maintain my focus is to relax, and breathe a bit deeper – my concentration is always better. Drinking purified water also helps keep my mind clearer, and I have more clarity.

What if I want to stay focused on a goal – the same procedure applies, but I also love imagery and words and making myself a vision board. When I start to pull images and words and place them together to form my desired goal, I can easily focus on what it feels like to live this dream in this moment. I can focus on this vision board each morning and evening and draw it closer to reality. I can imagine it throughout the day and once again bring my focus to it.

I’m presenting a ‘Visioning for 2012 Workshop’ on Saturday, 26th November, 10.00am-4.00pm in Glebe. A great way to focus on your dreams for the year ahead while living in the now.
