Being Present & Grateful.

I’m sitting at my computer trying to stay present amongst the many thoughts that are streaming through my mind right now. My emails are awaiting my attention, I have workshop details to decide upon. My washing needs to be done plus the food shopping. And I only have a few hours to complete all of these tasks!!!! Well, that is what most of my thoughts are telling me!!

I bring myself back to my breath, to slow down and relax. Ah, the present moment, it is so wonderful. xxxx

I pause to look out the window and I see the assortment of trees swaying in the wind, birds are flying and landing, the grey clouds are moving swiftly and there are a few small patches of blue sky to complete nature’s art work for this moment. I give thanks for the beautiful view and feeling of space that it allows me.

I sense the message from my inner self that all is okay and I can feel my shoulders dropping and my breath slowing down. For this moment I am present and my mind feels clearer and more at peace.

I start repeating my mantra for the day. “I always have plenty of time to do the things I need to do.”

Yes, there is a long list, and yes, things need to get done, but maybe not all of them today and that is okay. I give myself permission to relax and be present. Funny isn’t it, that when I remember to be present throughout my day, it is easier to work through the list.

Are you ‘being present’ and ‘grateful’ in your life today?
