
In the busyness of my life it is so important that I take rest periods. Different to meditation and contemplation, resting is my time to take a nap, lie down and watch the clouds float by, read a book, or sit in a cafe and enjoy a soy chai.
When I take the time to ‘rest’ I feel revitalised and energised – ready to do the things I need to do.
Sometimes the ‘rest’ is going on a retreat or a holiday. I recently bought a Body and Soul Retreat book, showing some wonderful places around the world. Just sitting reading it and looking at the beautiful photgraphs, is ‘rest for my soul’.
Be kind to yourself this week and ‘rest’. Your health and wellbeing will definitely benefit.
