Father’s Day

It’s Father’s Day today and time for me to reflect on my own father and our relationship. My dad passed over many years ago when I was in my mid twenties.

I am so thankful for his love of gardening and the abundance of fresh food that was supplied by this love. Also for the fragrant gardens he created, that greeted me each day at the front of our home. So beautiful. xxxx

I have come to the realisation that he was an excellent teacher for me. Our relationship was never an easy one. Because of our differences and difficulties I have learned strength, courage, determination, acceptance and most importantly love and forgiveness.
Thanks dad for so many life lessons xxxx. I’ll always be learning.

Thank you to Adrian (another one of my great teachers) for the best gift of my life, our son, Edward. Happy Father’s Day. xxxxxx

Edward and his wife Heather are expecting a baby in February and I am so excited about this. Happy Father’s Day to you Edward. xxxxx You will be an amazing dad. xxxx

What lessons have you learned from your father?
