Healthy tip for this week is all about ‘water’. Drinking water, bathing in water, swimming in water.
Our brain needs plenty of water to function at its optimum best. Students who drink plenty of water before lectures retain more information. Our bodies are made up of a lot of water so it makes sense that we top up our body several times throughout the day. Apparently drinking a glass of water before bed helps you sleep.
Of course the water I am talking about is filtered water, as the tap water can contain many toxic chemicals that our body then needs to deal with. So having a good water filtering system is definitely a plus. Some people like to place a clear quartz crystal or a piece of shungite (Russian miracle stone) in their water to purify it.
Soaking in a warm bath with some beautiful aromatherapy oil is always very healing. Definitely one of my favourite ways to nurture myself and to relax. I particularly love lavender oil and geranium oil. Both very soothing to my soul.
Swimming in the ocean is also very healthy and healing, as you can absorb all those wonderful minerals from the seawater. I find that even sitting near the water and watching the waves flow in and out, or sitting near a waterfall, is so relaxing and good for my immune and nervous systems.
Over the next week remember to connect with ‘water’, and enjoy the health benefits it provides.
