I am so enjoying writing my morning pages at the moment – three A4 pages of long hand first thing in the morning – brain drain – it makes my day so much lighter. It is quite incredible what gets poured out onto the paper. (Julia Cameron suggests this practice in her book The Artist’s Way.)
I realise what I am worrying about, what I am dreaming about, what I am procrastinating about, what blessings I have in my life. A gigantic mix of whatever.
I’ve been doing these pages for a long time and during the writing of these pages I ask my censor, Sam, and my perfectionist, Pat, to step aside. They don’t get a look in because there is no wrong way to do the morning pages. What a relief!
Today I feel free to be me. So much was let go of this morning on the pages.
What are you willing to let go of today? xxxxxxx
