Relaxation

For those of you who have been following me for a while you will know the importance I place on relaxation.

A relaxed body is a healthy body and a relaxed mind creates a happier person. Living a relaxed life is a daily practice. Begin each morning with a body scan to release tension, and then sit quietly for 5 minutes, following your breath, be present. Visualise yourself enjoying a relaxed and peaceful life. It will make a huge difference to how you feel. Repeat this process each night before going to sleep.

The benefits of relaxation are many. Here are a few – better digestion, refreshing sleep, more energy, improved health, feeling good. Yes Please! xxx

Remember to check in throughout the day, do a quick body scan to release tension, (particularly around your shoulders and neck), breathe and relax, be gentle with yourself. xxx

I wanted to assist others, so I recorded relaxation audios many years ago in response to requests from women in the relaxation classes that I was teaching at a Women’s Health Centre. I was also the resident herbalist at the centre and I noticed that stress was a major factor in the health issues of the women who consulted with me. Once relaxation techniques were taught and practiced daily, along with herbal medicine and some lifestyle changes, there was a wonderful shift to good health and a happier life.

I choose to relax. Xxx
